  1. In order to vote no for the special assessment a resident has to show up at the meeting. The meeting is at a very busy time of year for all of us, the semester end, Christmas, the holidays. The HOA and developer have worked together to stack the cards in their favor. It seems unfathomable that the special assessment is going to be voted down unless somehow the HOA board members vote the proxies against it.

We deserve a better deal where the developer pays a fair share based on lots they own and land that is planned to be constructed. The developer owns several hundred acres north and west of our subdivision which will eventually be developed and this project should be shared equally by all parties who will benefit from it.

Our HOA leadership has not taken an objective position on our behalf and our members deserve better representation.

    1. At a very minimum the developer and contractors who own lots not yet sold should be participating on an equal basis. It seems almost certain that their votes will be counted and cast toward the existing HOA dues paying members footing the entire bill. Only if the HOA leadership demands this happen will our HOA dues paying members be fairly represented.
